haha today's been quite fun! went with wenjie peishan and cheejia to grand cathay to catch step up. our timing couldnt have been more accurate >.<. cj and i took >5 min to finally meet up (like play hide and seek at the mrt/ps liddat lol) and meet wj and ps who were waiting. and the moment we found our seats and sat down the show started. as in all the ads ended and the movie began la haha. wad accuracy.

step up is a really gd movie! it has the teenager movie portion with all those love and break-ups, but with a really nice element of an arts school behind it. the songs and dances are just awesome! you could spend money to watch it again in the cinema, cos it's not the plot we are focusing on, it's really the cool dances and actions haha. the male and female leads can really dance la. chanel handbags tyler and nora. there are also some parts in the show i esp liked a lot. like the dance in the sunset, absolutely dazzling. the dance during the party too =) with the band and stuff.

ok i just realised how bad a reviewer i am. bad movies dont critic enough, gd movies dont praise enough too. i should just give up =.= just know that u should watch it for the music and dances.

after that went to clarke quay there. wanted to go settler's cafe (by wenjie's recommendation in his blog haha) for lunch but it wasnt open yet. so went nearby to eat laksa. lol we are a confusing bunch la. the way we order confuse the auntie so much she came to our table after we ordered to reconfirm.

our version of the order:
"auntie, 4 laksa. 3 $2 one, among the 3, 2 want yellow mee, 1 want bee hoon. then the 4th one is $3 one, yellow mee."

her version of the order:
"ah so u all want 3 with yellow mee, 2 small 1 big, and 1 small with bee hoon?"

looks like we shouldnt even attempt to work in a hawker centre/kopitiam. our employer will go crazy when we repeat the customer's orders.

ya back to settler's cafe. wensheu joined us at 2 when it opened. haha it's a fun place! lots of card/board games to play, and free flow of drinks (students promotion only la). but seriously that free flow of drinks got me going to the toilet countless times la. i think ah if they charged 10 cents for each visit of the toilet, they would have earned 50% more than what they are earning now la. seriously.

tried a couple of games. wanted to start off with a easy/need no thinking game. and we really got a super brainless one o.O "ugly ugly ugly!" basically just each take turns to flip cards and say that dumb phrase when u get 3 of a kind. wahaha, chao brainless.

then went on to some cartagena. hmm that was quite fun, trying to move ur men to the end of the road onto the ship by using cards, and being able to retreat and gain more cards. wenjie chao lame la... meng collect cards... like up to 10 liddat >.< but i guess the strategy worked. cos he won lol.

next was zombies... this game was quite sian. but wenjie and wensheu were chao evil la, when i kenna dead end, they spam those cards that say place 10 zombies anywhere u like and just block me off. but thankfully they got sian of the game and i so called won with 21 zombies slayed. (to officially win is 25) the helipad is seriously no need to think one la. so far down the stack of maps b4 u finally reach the helipad.

lastly played munchkins. haha this was fun. supposed to mimic an rpg game, with all the headgear, armor, footgear, class, race, lvl gaining and treasures. im so targeted can. i think i got the most no. of curses on me de la. u all chao evil! hehe. wenjie and wensheu's allying chao qiang. cos both elf, have an ability to gain a lvl when u help someone defeat a monster, so they were like helping each other continuously and gaining lvls together la haha.

haha fun fun. looking forward to going there again. ps and i like already got a list of wad to play next time le lol.

p.s. im waiting for cj to come online with the pix. i must show this giant candy floss looking PINK christmas tree outside cathay. it's seriously pink can o.O
