havent been blogging for sometime, cos had a busy wk. but funn!! whee.

sat went to watch chsco's concert in collaboration with some hongky co (xiang1 gang3 QING1 NIAN2 yin1 yue4 xie2 hui4 - ok nvm the han yu pin yin) notice the keyword being QING NIAN. youth.

been dreading it lol. (sorry jnrs!) cos ever since our batch, the standard of chsco has been dropping and dropping and dropping. i cannot imagine if we dont get even a gold next yr, not to mention gold with honours... hope for the best lo. but despite this dreadful feeling, it turned out to be quite ok la. not as bad as we thought. a BIG BIG pity was that it's at hc audi la. wtf. no esplanade nvm. no SCH nvm. then even no VCH nvm. but this is it. NOT EVEN nafa. hc audi. super humiliating can. (k sorry again jnrs.) randy kinda saved the liang2 zhu4, and u all played the chuang3 jiang1 ling4 and tian1 long2 ba1 bu4 pretty well. so it was quite ok la. pity abt the acoustics of hc audi though. dunno if thats a blessing in disguise. (ok i shall stop doing this to my jnrs)

but despite that u all put up a gd show, that im proud of. haha. it's nice to see our jnrs all over again, especially during intermission when we chiong to the mad dance studio below the audi where they were to talk with them and stuff. and after the concert having a looooong chat with the tchrs and all. and the nice feeling to being back at mph and seeing all the chinese high stuff going on (lol u know wad i mean). not only it being a gd chance to talk to our jnrs, it's a night of hcco without the gals as well. kinda miss these times where it's just all guys from co and just our batch lol. went to kap to have a super late supper (we dilly dally and dragged due to waiting and finding an exit and more waiting from 10 to abt 11.30). and we ate and chatted at kap till abt 1+ rofl. had to share cab with hong fei back home. (that reminds we of the cab fare i owe him. oops.)

the next day, whee 6D chalet at aranda =)) haha shant elaborate much, but it was a whole load of fun too. distinctly u can separate the house into a few compartments. apart from the 2 toilets/bathrooms, and the kitchen. living room was butchered into 2. the side with the tv being PS + movie galore. and the side with the dining table being mahjong haven. in the 2 rooms were alternating between guitar serenading + sing-song sessions and bridge clubs. we brought mahjong sets, cards, dvd player, playstation, movies, games, loads of junk food, pot luck food, all to occupy ourselves for the 3 days haha.

had loads of fun with the playstation, with marvel vs capcom, ddr, ff7, watching wwe smackdown, bomberman, metal slug etcetc. movies wise, watched scary movie 2 (it really lowers ur iq la i think. DAMN DUMB), house of wax (just plain gory and sick lol), shrek 2 (watched b4, but it's always welcome after a movie like house of wax) and armeggedon (though i didnt watch it). oh oh, and learnt mahjong!! haha. great breakthru achievement. although i didnt exactly learn cycling... nvm shall learn some other day! learnt a couple of songs from peng sing on the guitar too. time for some practising haha.

first night we had our pot luck, with loads of food and drinks. so much i cant really elaborate lol. i can only briefly rmb this smiley face potato, nuggets, otah, satay, chicken wing, corn, marshmallow, fishball, and staple food fried rice and bee hoon. then it rained la. a bit disappointing, but at least we were almost done with our dinner. 2nd day's breakfast was macs delivery (delivered by ourselves lol, meng ask others to takeaway), lunch and dinner at downtown east. they went cycling in the afternoon and we went arcade at night. some went to xbox also. haha quite fun also la. meng shoot hoops, spent a lot of time at para para and some on bishi bashi and photo hunt (but the photo hunt machine chao lousy graphics.)

back to the chalet for a night of... beverages lol. how can i forget the alcohol. cos weiye is past 18 yrs old liao. so we meng ask her to buy alcohol for us haha. beer, wine, mild alcoholic drinks. we bought all la simply. lol. i didnt go with them to cheers, but managed to koup a bit here and there rofl. it was kinda nice. but saw lots of red faces after that haha. and we were so high we started to sing at the top of our voices. and if that wasnt bad enough we were singing stupid songs la!! like nursery rhymes, children's day song, national day songs etcc. chao ben :P

anyway it was just fun fun fun. pity it was so short. ws ys ck and i had to leave early the next morning for ocip meeting anyway. sighs.

today went to ps to watch prestige with dj yx wj ps wensheu wc dr cj ph kg. wah super zai show can. at first it was kinda confusing. but then it turned out to be a really amazing plot. i cant really describe. for those whove watched the trailer or something, u should know abt the 3 things a magic trick has: the pledge, the turn, the prestige. and despite it being a show all about magicians and their tricks, replica watches lives turn out to be illusionary all along too. the 2 magicians are not who they really are haha (shant spoiler too much). so it's like their own lives has taken into account a pledge, a turn, and of cos, a prestige.

they have been using tricks in real life to trick the world themselves la. i just read a review, and it mentioned how it is a show that u can discuss for wks and nv get tired of it. i cant believe it to be that apt. it's a show where the whole plot unravels only at the end of the show, and u are kept in suspense and confusion, cos u dunno which part in the middle of the show is the prestige, the real truth at the end of the trick. and it turns out that nth can be trusted all the way to the last scene.

haha amazing isnt it. literally the lives of the magicians are abt this. outside their lives, it is too. out of the screen and as a movie, the same structure remains. this kinda of multiple layered plot makes the show a whole notch above the rest la. simply put that way.

thats all i wanna say. keen? go and watch. u wont regret it.

just a fact i only found out a while ago (ok im slow), this movie is a battle between wolverine and batman. rofl. enjoy.
