had a rather packed weekend i would say haha. went with some class ppl (yx, ps, kg, ph, zhiyong to be exact) to SIM for lunch after school on fri before heading back home to watch kindaichi 3. haha im recently so hooked to it. chiong thru the 9 episodes (including loading time) over the course of a totally test-packed week. and just finished a special movie not long ago. abt vampires. and im off to backtrack to kindaichi 2 if i dont get to watch nodame which ruiyuan burned for me soon.

guess i was too tired, so fell asleep and woke up abt 7+. was supposed to go for the tanbo seniors stayover and meet at 8 for dinner but i overslept haha. gg. so hurriedly rushed there. by the time i reached city hall and to magic wok where they were eating, they just finished dinner haha. good timing on my part lol. after dinner, we walked to smu which was to be our "home" for the night =).

at first headed to a bar/pub kinda place in smu campus. i forgot the name haha. but it was quite cool going to such places for the first time, even though it's a small one. there i got formally introduced to the seniors haha. there was xiquan (also known as boss/uncle as wad sam calls him lol) from '02 batch, weijie (xiquan calls her auntie haha, cos she's a year older) from '01 batch, zongsheng from '00 batch (a doctor now le la haha. cool.), kaixiang from '02 (in med fac. another doctor to be haha.), wenjie and nicholas from '04 batch (our pipa seniors during sec 2 syf haha). and from our batch had sam shouhao and me. basically i was like the only non-pipa guy around lol. cos it started off as a pipa stayover. until juniors jielun zhiguang and michelle came haha. so rise the % of non-pipa ppl up by a bit.

so yup, got to know them better and chatted around haha. me and sam got off the hook by faking we were 18 already (but aiya it's a matter of months anyway. and for sam days can), and got to order beer to drink haha. hmm my first taste of wad life will be like after this year haha. literally taste =) the seniors ordered their own faves from the long list on the menu on the table, and recommended tuborg for us to drink. so sam shouhao and me shared 2 bottles among ourselves. and continue to tok cok until the jnrs came from dance night. zongsheng went back after that haha. i think he could have work the following day.

we hanged out around the big steps in smu in the end cos xiquan said we couldnt stay in where we originally planned to cos no visitors after 12. so yup haha we stayed around the big steps. but it was really cosy la haha, and the night wasnt too humid. so bridge (it's really starting to be a culture already) became the highlight for the night, so much so that we didnt even touch the mahjong cards sam brought along haha. the power of bridge. so while some were playing, louis vuitton handbags the other pipa seniors were chatting and catching up on each other, and shouhao michelle jielun zhiguang and me were playing around with the guitar that zhiguang brought along. wah marriage d amour is seriously imba lol. i gave up after learning the first page at snail's pace. and we sang to songs on the guitar, like when u say nth at all, qing tian, wake me up when sep ends, even peng you and singapore town! hahas.

after that some went to a nearby 7-11 to get coke and whiskey/scotch to mix haha. so the rest started to play rounds of zong ji mi ma to drink the concoction while me jielun zhiguang and michelle just randomly tok cok. and occasionally asking for one of the concoctions and took turns to sip. haha the smell is quite strong, and nice warm feeling after it goes down ur throat. lol. soon the jnrs were tired after a long day in school, and we left them to take a rest (and they actually slept all the way till next morning haha!) while we went out to have some supper. we wanted to go for some pizza but it was closing already (supposedly to close at 4am leh, and when we went there it was only like 2). so went to a nearby kopitiam to have some food. thanks to xiquan's kopitiam card, got 20% off the food we bought lol! quite some seniors ate ban mian while me and sam shared among ourselves some dim sum. carrot cake, prawn dumpling, chee cheong fun and siew mai. yumyum.

so yep, went back only to find the juniors all fast asleep le haha. chatted abit and slowly more and more went to sleep. sam was on xiquan's laptop playing his dbi thru wireless while weijie nicholas xiquan and i started bridge. was quite cool cos xiquan brought speakers along, so he plugged to a nearby powerpoint (other than the one used for the laptop), and we had music playing, eng, chn, all sorts. so played round after round until sam came to join us cos the laptop didnt have numpad which brought inconvenience to the game haha. so we took turns to play until nic went to slp too. so it was down to sam xiquan weijie and me. after some more games, even sam went to take a break too. weijie xiquan and me became the remaining survivors! we actually randomed and took a pic with weijie's phone! lol. haha i strongly suspect i could stay up for so long cos of the tiny nap i had in the afternoon la. so with 3 ppl left, cant really play cards le. so we decided to have a little tour around smu and enjoy the 5am breeze haha.

the trip was kinda nice haha, basically walking the length off the long underpass than linked the buildings together. and lots of shops on the way as well, ranging from bookshops to photocopying shops to the cafeteria to banks to clinics to cosmetic product shops. we walked back thru the central garden of smu and saw that kaixiang had awoken haha. as we chatted and all, weijie started to doze off too haha. it was almost dawn by that time le, with the first rays of sunlight lighting up the sky. quite interesting la, we could start to hear the first buses passing by and birds start to chirp and all le. xiquan sent kaixiang off as he had another appointment later that day, so going back to rest first. by 6.30 i had to go slp too haha, couldnt take it le.

woke up at 8 by szuan! haha. wad a pleasant surprise. she had dental appointment around there later in the morning. oh yea she actually called xiquan who diverted his call to weijie as his phone had no more batt at 5+/6 lah!! haha. at the time where only the 3 survivors remained. so yup, it was early morning by that time le, and slowly we all woke up =). after everyone packed up, we went to the coffeshop next to nafa and had prata for breakfast (lol the coincidence, cos the class wanted to go eat prata actually). after that everyone was tired out from the stayover, so they decided to go back home earlier (they wanted to have lunch together initially). cos i was supposed to meet class ppl at bugis for lunch, so called peishan and she agreed to meet me earlier haha. planning to go nat library. so while waiting for her at bugis mrt, went to walk around parco haha. i actually went to loop in cold storage lol, looking at the staff putting new goods onto the shelves and checking stocks. the roasted chicken section smelt heavenly. i must really try out the honey glazed/black pepper chicken someday. btw stoned around the wine section and looking at the brands haha. some familiar names from last night caught my attention. haha die liao, the stayover got me a little interested in the wine section liao lols.

anyway, met peishan at the library after that cos i decided to head there first. took some books off the shelves to read but after several chapters i was so tired i actually lied down on the seats haha. so paiseh, having ppl look as they walk by. but haha managed to borrow some books. to tank while i wait for sam's next set of shaman king. met ruiyuan back at bugis at 12.30 and went to scout for good food haha. decided against anywhere in parco cos me and peishan went to check the prices before that and they were quite ex. but haha, in the end the place we chose wasnt exactly cheap either lol. but that later.

walking one round around 2 rows of shophouses near icon, we saw one that suited our liking. went back and met up with wenjie and wensi before deciding to go and try the food out. it's some restaurant which i cant exactly rmb the name, but it had quite an impressive set lunch of soup salad drink maincourse and dessert for $12.90. ok lah the price burned a big hole in my pocket, but it was quite worth it i would say? soup was minestrone and dessert was creme brulee. as for main course, wenjie had chicken breast with mushroom sauce, peishan had pork chop while wensi ruiyuan and i had pan-fried dory. i thot the food wasnt bad =). might try to go back again when i can afford it next time.

after lunch went to icon to shop around a bit. havent been there before, so thought it was quite a nice place haha, which was supposed to mimic the hongkong style of shopping. lots of small shops, so it was quite quaint and cosy i'd say. wensi found something she liked there and bought it haha. a yellow dress with a black belt. nice catch for the day =) and i think the shopkeepers there are quite nice ppl. after that went back to parco's topman to have a look. haha it was ruiyuan's heaven la. he changed into quite a few clothes there, and even made wenjie and i both try the same one he was trying! lol. i thought it looked nice, but super ex haha. $79! ill never be able to afford it, not at the moment at least. it looked nicest on wenjie among the 3 of us haha. but ruiyuan found a pair of skinny jeans he liked. so he going to ask his sis to help him get it i think. oh and a long sleeved brown shirt as well.

wensi went off to meet her mum (for more shopping! lmao) and the remaining 4 of us ventured into bugis village. haha the imba place with tons of ppl. i can never navigate myself in there ever i think >.< so by basically following peishan around, we seriously did some shopping haha. my legs totally ached after that haha. i seriously not cut out for long term shopping hahaha. i think we shopped for like 4hrs straight ever since we left the restaurant? so thats like the whole time standing or walking. but haha quite fun i guess. saw a couple of shirts that suited wenjie (recommended by peishan =D) but in the end all didnt buy cos they were too big. haha. then ruiyuan didnt really like wad he saw, preferring the topman kind more. i tried to look out for some horizontal striped ones, but didnt really bother to check prices unless i liked it quite a lot, cos it would be a hassle trying to find my size =(( but in the end i went to buy one haha. hopefully it looks nice and is durable lol. as for peishan she bought a quite nice red/white top haha.

after shopping we went to simlim to eat the famous bar chor mee there. haha it's really nice! esp the dumplings. wanna go again next time hehe. and ruiyuan's fav popiah =D very nice also. i love the popiah skin. so as we split our ways to go home (ps wj one direction, me and ry another), ruiyuan went with me to check the prices of the samsung mp3 player. haha plus after today's online reviews abt it and clarence's comments (he bought it too!), i think i might just get it haha. looks nice also.

after that went home imba tired. i almost missed my stop. lol.

a fun weekend would u say? i would say so haha. now waiting to be able to add the seniors on msn =)

btw my mum went out to shop as well at orchard yesterday and got me a new bag haha. ok something random. i think this is one of the longest posts since a long long time ago haha. quite proud of it. blogger better let me post it up on my blog! haha i shall go do some work soon, if not gg liao. i took like an hour on this lol. blogging is seriously time consuming haha. especially something of this length. hahaha.

p.s. omg i went to paste this post on microsoft word in case blogger really screws up and it turned out to be 3 1/2 pages long! seriously. rofl.
