AH. haven't got the chance to blog for agessssssssssssss. and mostly cos i nth to blog. but haha within this short span of <1 week, had a quite happening time. hmm let's begin with last sat. was stoning at home with nth do. havent gone out for 2-3 wks bah i guess. then wj asked on msn to go out eat sushi. of cos jumped at the chance lol. so met up with wensi cheejia yushan peishan wenjie at tanjong pagar for teatime sushi buffet and sakae. was ultra late cos of some weird reason or another, mrt trains leaving from boon lay heading to pasir ris was totally packed and full by the time it reached clementi where i boarded. which meant abt wad... 4 stops? strange. anyway haha had vouchers! so paid quite little for a buffet =) will burn a mega hole in my pocket without the vouchers. ordered loads of salmon sushi, side orders like hotate, kakiage, chawanmushi, pan fried dumplings, handrolls, fried tofu etcetc. haha ate so much until it kinda covered my lunch+dinner liao lol. mega filling. after that headed to bugis to shop at bugis village! haha contrary to the weird situation with clementi mrt, this time is weird cos there was quite little human traffic for a wkend. so had quite a pleasant shopping trip. the girls aimed to get something red to wear for ndp, but in the end no one really bought much haha. i think only yushan got a tee and wensi collected her bag. after that went back to bugis junction to buy sweet talk and walk around. then slowly, wensi left for her other appointments, and yushan and cheejia went back as they were tired. so just left me wj and ps. went arcade to play for a while. wj got tempted by the machines there! haha, i mean the kind where u scoop sweets and use the sweets to push stuff into ur pocket. there was this one which the jackpot was very close, so wj gave it a try haha. but it guess it's damn hard de la. oh btw, it was a mushroom plushie! so i guess wj doesnt hate mushrooms that much? lolz. after that got glued to ppl playing the game right at the entrance of the arcade - *drumroll* Manic- Panic- Ghosts! haha it's basically this quite interesting game where u got this "wand" which u can use for various functions like turn wheels, drag stuff, hit bad ghosts, and shake to charge it up. so 2 players can play to pass 6 rounds before defeating the boss, then every round u get 2-choose-1. so u can take ur pick out of the 2 which one u'll prefer. we took turns to play, and it's super tiring haha. 3 ppl already liddat. can u imagine just 2 ppl throughout. by round 4 will die liao haha. but in any case quite fun la lol. tue after school went with wenjie peishan dunjie limyuan kevin ruiyuan to plaza sing to catch simpsons movie. haha at first didnt want to watch cos totally dunno anythnig abt simpsons since i never ever caught them on tv before. but it turned out to be quite good! haha. very dumb yet funny lol. not bad la i guess =) bought chao duo food before going in lol. went daiso to get caramel corn (super nice! limyuan has been bringing that to school for us to tou1 chi1 during lecture =D but i dunno what happened to the packet that i brought back. i strongly suspect it has been devoured by someone in my family lol), then went carrefour for drinks, and lastly to breadtalk for bread. bought this 10 items mini-pastries things and shared with wenjie and limyuan. wed had nat day celebrations, louis vuitton handbags followed by going east coast park after that. haha a very successful class outing i must say. grand total of 18 ppl went! plus kevin who joined us for lunch at marine parade food centre but had something on after that. so after taking 48 from adam food centre and a longlong while later, we finally alighted at parkway parade/marine parade food centre. lol new territory for me, hardly been to the east side before. split into 2 groups for lunch, some at parkway foodcourt and some at marine parade food centre. after that headed for the underpass which brought us to ecp. joined up with those who weren't with us earlier, leading to our 18 strong cycling squad haha. zhiyong deren chunkang yushan cheejia puayhian wensheu peishan yongxian ruiyuan wenjie weechern me kwangguan pengsing weichung yida wensi. as i STILL dunno how to ride a bike, took double bike with chunkang. wenjie double biked with peishan and yushan double biked with cheejia. all the rest took singles. haha cycling was as fun as usual. being at the back that is. me and ck encountered some problems with our speed due to some gearing problems, and the chain came off like 2-3 times even. so we were at the back in the beginning. but slowly we got our momentum going and kinda knew how to double bike together liao. haha so slowly got to catch up. haha i think we were really quite hiong la haha. rented the bikes for abt 4hrs and we were abt half an hour late in returning. so our whole journey was 4.5 hrs long, with breaks, rests, and of cos not to forget, picture taking moments lol. felt some sense of achievement i must say. cycled from one end of ecp to the other end, then out onto the main road along the changi airport runway, and on to changi village. and chionged all the way back. haha at the end of it everyone butt chao pain lol. my bag was quite black (so was yushan's hello kitty on her bag), our water supply wasnt sufficient and we doubled that by refilling our 4 big mineral bottles with tap water, me ck and all those who helped us in the beginning had grease on their hands due to putting the chain back in place, and my shoes got a hole in them when my foot grazed against some net with metal bars underneath. not to forget turning red and a little sunburnt. but yeah! a fun experience. super exciting lol, but felt dangerous, cos on the road there werent cemented paths, so we had to cycle on the road and the 18 of us, although forming a straight line, kinda took up the whole lane lol. so some inconsiderate vehicles actually came rather near. and there was this part when ck couldnt swerve in time onto the pavement at a turn and for abt 1 min we were against traffic lah! omg. so all the cars were zooming towards us. totally o.O haha. but ck is quite a steady cyclist la lol, after all he's a 70km bike hike veteran ma (or so he claims =P). so quite enjoyed the whole cycling journey. it's pretty fun to sing along together when we got nth to do on the way haha. all the 1,2,3,go whenever we stopped and were abt to restart. and taking turns to pedal harder. saw quite a few planes take off too! haha. super loud. oh how can we all forget the monitor lizard! haha. SUPER DUA. after the tiring and long journey yet feeling a sense of achievement, went to the beach to feel the sea breeze. all i can say is, i finally felt it. dunno when was the last time i've been to the seaside, with the wind blowing and sea splashing. pity we didnt have more time, or we could sit around even. or take off our shoes and get into the water. ahh. should learn to cycle. pretty fun. but i think double bikes are really more fun haha. minus the fun from the speeding and tricks, but add lots of fun with the chatting along the way, as well as the singing! haha. thu was nat day! woke up late and not really knowing wad to do. parents just saw my bt2 results, and i was out for the whole day on wed, so wasnt really ready to ask to go out for the whole day at yushan's house. so decided to join ruiyuan zhiyong kwangguan wenjie peishan pengsing dunjie yida to go watch fireworks near marina. couldnt leave too early cos of the results issue, so was quite late when i got to city hall. was supposed to meet kg at citylink mall and going to join the rest who were already there. but the crowd was imba. i think it's more than twice the number of ppl in citylink mall on a weekend (that's sat + sun). so after sometime met up and headed for esplanade admist the imba crowd. finally got to taste my first breath of fresh air after coming up from the esplanade exit to be hit by another wave of ppl. crowds and crowds of ppl on the padang with a big screen and djs from 88.3 and power 98. crowds of ppl with mats and food (akin to a picnic) in esplanade park. tons of ppl hanging around on the sides of the bridges and highways. even more along the way to our destination, which was originally merlion park, but shifted to beside one fullerton cos merlion park was so full until it was barricaded. and me and kg walked a good 45 min before we reached opposite of our destination. but the police blocked off the way to cross to the other side. so had to squeeze in the crowd further down before making a u-turn back on the opposite side of the road. climbed to the 2nd level of hitachi tower thinking there could be a overhead bridge to bring us across, but it was futile. continued on our way down hitachi tower and walked on. a crowd of ppl disobeyed the traffic police and ran across the road at a bend instead of at a traffic light further down and we just followed lol. finally got to the other side of the road before we realised we should get our own food before heading there. so ironically, we went back to the same side of the road we've been earlier via the traffic light we were supposed to cross at. walked on further down to lau pat sat to get some dinner before finally (and i mean FINALLY), reaching our final destination, area next to one fullerton. by that time it was also barricaded off. but thanks to those who were inside already, the police let me kg pengsing zhiyong in. to the protests of many who have been waiting there lol. i didnt stay there for long, but pengsing said apparently the ppl there were so agitated and frustrated that they were scolding ppl for pushing and all. so finally got in and had a quite nice spot to sit. had dinner and played heart attack. chatted and took quite a lot of random pix haha. stood up to look when helicopters and planes flew past, as part of the ndp performance. it was quite a good view, could see the floating platform. oh yeah, saw this bunch of ships with floating "jellyfishes" which lighted up as they headed towards the floating platform. they just went by where we were haha. at last, the finale and wad we were there for came. FIREWORKS! and wah they were super nice. and really really close haha. really pretty. and colourful haha. though the smoke in the air after that a bit imba lol. hard to use words to describe haha, but they are just really really nice. left the area after the fireworks (1st and 2nd round), and walked along singapore river. came upon minds cafe, and we just spontaneously decided to go in and play! haha. so yup, took the 2 hr package that came with food and drinks. the food not bad haha, got popcorn, black pepper crackers, drumlets, cheese morsels, calamari rings, wedges. and i ordered coffee float for my drink which like lasted me till 5am last night! hahaha. played quite a lot of group funny games haha. like one which had to do with making animal noises, gift trap, banana slap, monkeys and sticks which have to be drawn out, and i cant rmb liao haha. ended abt 11. headed to clarke quay mrt and i took the same way i did that time i was lost after the grand seniors outing. i have to figure out how the 174 and 961 there work so can devise more ways to get home lol. haha time really flies. more than half of the nat day long weekend gone liao. left with the wkend. must try to make do with it! nth else to look forward to till teacher's day. and im so not going to look forward to that cos it's when prelims begin >.<
